Sunshine

I truly miss the sun.

Even though “springing” forward robs me of an hour of sleep, I cannot wait for the sun to set later. I look forward to walks after school, BBQs on the deck, and getting my hands dirty in my garden. I even look forward to the dog chasing bunnies and squirrels through the yard with no success and her loud barking as she does her laps. Cannot wait to enjoy those gorgeous cotton candy sunsets with those I love.

It’s been a long cold winter for many and I too am willing to give up an hour for the option of more daytime and evening light. Ready or not -it’s coming.

I know what you mean… but I still hate it.

It must be so welcoming after winter. Here in South India we have only the monsoon season and the summer. Only during the monsoon season the days are cloudy. But it is a pleasant change from the hot and humid summer which starts from early March till the Southwest monsoon comes , usually in the first week of June.

I love the daylight lasting an hour longer, even if that means I will lose an hour. So worth it to be that much closer to spring. Thanks for the lovely description of all I have to look forward to!

“I truly miss the sun.” – There is something about this sentence that is really wonderful. It is a short and straight to the point, but this sentence also made me miss the sun.

Also, I love how you described the sunsets as “gorgeous cotton candy sunsets”. That sounds like a lovely description.

Thank you so much for sharing! Spring will be here soon!
